Find your way around
The main menu, the top bar, the dashboard, notifications, What's new and Help & support, so you always know where to find things.
Every screen in Verasol has the same frame: the main menu on the left (on the right in Arabic), the top bar, and a thin footer at the bottom. What you see in the menu depends on your role and on the modules your company uses, so a colleague may see fewer or more items than you.
The top bar#
The top bar is always there, whatever screen you are on.
| What it does | |
|---|---|
| 1 The company name | The company you are working in now. Click it to switch to another company (Switch Company) or to add one (Add New Company). See Set up your company. |
| Dashboard, Invoices, VAT, Reports | Quick links to those pages, shown when your role may open them. |
| 2 Magnifying glass | Searches the company you are working in: see Search below. |
| 3 Sun | Switches between the light and the dark look. |
| 4 Flag | Changes the language: English or Arabic. |
| 5 Building | Your companies, with their TRN, and Add New Company. |
| 6 Tick in a box | Awaiting your approval: Vera's proposals waiting for a decision, such as a cheque deposit or a bank match (her drafts wait on their own screens). The green number is how many proposals you can approve. See Awaiting your approval. |
| 7 Bell | Your Notifications, with the number of unread ones. |
| 8 Your picture, after the bell | Your photo, or your initials when you have not added one. It opens My Profile, Settings and Logout. |
Search#
Click the magnifying glass and type at least two characters: a document number or reference, or the name of a customer, a vendor or an item. Verasol lists what it finds, grouped by kind: invoices, credit notes, quotes, sales orders, customers, bills, purchase orders, vendors, payments and items, a few of each. Click a result to open it, or use the arrow keys and Enter. Esc closes the search.
The search only looks in the company you are working in, and only in what your role may open: someone whose role does not include sales, for example, finds no invoices.
When your company has switched on YOLO mode, a red YOLO badge appears next to the logo. It reminds everyone that Vera approves and posts without waiting for a person.
The main menu#
The main menu lists the areas of Verasol. Items with an arrow are groups: click them to open the pages inside. The three lines at the far left of the top bar hide the menu, to give the page more room, and bring it back.
From top to bottom:
- Talk to Vera: a call with Vera, in your browser or on your phone.
- Main Menu: the person icon next to it shows your name, Profile and Logout.
- Dashboard, AI Assistant, Awaiting your approval and Tax Optimizer.
- 1 Invoices: All Invoices, Customers, Vendors, Sales Invoices, Credit Notes, Quotes, Purchase Invoices and Supplier Debit Notes.
- Orders: Sales orders, Delivery notes, Purchase orders and Goods receipts.
- Banking: Bank Accounts, Bank Reconciliation, Post-dated cheques and Cheque layouts.
- VAT: VAT 201 Return, Filed VAT Returns, VAT Payments, FTA Audit File and E-invoicing.

- The optional modules, when your company uses them: Inventory, Payroll & HR, Fixed Assets and International. See Optional modules.
- Calculators.
- At the bottom: 2 Settings, and 3 Team & Permissions for the company owner.
People who run an accountancy firm see a Firm and Books switch at the top of the menu: Firm shows the firm portal, Books the menu of the client company that is open. Other firm staff see their firm's pages above the company menu. See The firm portal.
The dashboard#
Dashboard is the home page of the company you are working in. At the top it greets you and shows the company and its financial year. Below, it shows:
- Receivables, Payables, Cash Position and Net VAT Payable, each with the change over the last 30 days.
- Books health: how many checks of your books pass. Click it to open Books health.
- Net profit of the last 30 days, Cash Runway with your bank balances, and Net Profit Trend, where you choose the period (1D, 1W, 1M, 1Y, All, or your own dates with the calendar icon).
- AI Copilot - Insights & Opportunities: click Get AI Insights and the AI points out overdue customers, customers whose activity changed and other things worth a look. Ask AI on an insight continues in the AI Assistant.
- Quick Actions to create an invoice, record a bill, reconcile the bank or prepare the VAT return.
- Further down: Aged Receivables, the Compliance Calendar with your next deadlines, HR alerts, and, when those modules are on, Inventory Alerts and the Payroll Summary.
People whose role does not include reports see buttons to the pages they may open instead of the figures.
Notifications#
The bell in the top bar shows your latest notifications. Click one to open it, click the cross to dismiss it, or click Mark all read. View all notifications opens the Notifications page, where you can filter on Type:, Severity: and Status:, mark notifications as read, dismiss them and bring dismissed ones back with Restore.
Verasol notifies, for example:
- Tax news from the UAE that concerns your company, with what it means for you, what to do and a link to the source.
- AI usage that reaches 50%, 80% or 100% of the company's monthly AI limit. See AI usage.
Notifications belong to the company: everyone who works in it sees the same ones.
Help & support#
Click Help in the footer to open Help & support.
- 1 Ask Vera opens the AI Assistant.
- 2 E-mail support writes to [email protected]. The e-mail already mentions your Verasol version. Support answers Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 18:00 UAE time, normally within one business day.
- 3 Where to find things lists the most common tasks, with a link to each. Only the pages your role may open are listed.
Further down you find examples of questions for Vera, your version of Verasol with a Copy button, and the terms of service and privacy policy.
What's new#
The footer also shows the version of Verasol you are using. Click it to open What's new. Each version has its date, a short introduction, Highlights 1 and Release notes 2 with what is new, improved and fixed. Older versions are listed under Release history.
The footer#
The footer at the bottom of every screen has the version (which opens What's new), and links to Verasol.ai, Terms, Privacy, Help and Contact. On a phone these links open from the ··· button.
