Meet Vera, your AI assistant
Vera is the assistant built into Verasol. Type or talk to her in English or Arabic. She answers from your books, prepares the work and waits for your approval.
Vera is the AI assistant built into Verasol. She works in your company's books with you: she answers questions from the books, prepares invoices, bills, journal entries and other work, shows you where things are on the screen, and explains the UAE tax rules behind a figure with the article of the law. Her name comes from Verasol itself: Voice-Enabled Resource Automation Solution.
One idea matters more than any other: Vera prepares, and you approve. What she prepares is a draft or a proposal. It is not in your books until a person approves it, unless the owner of the company has switched on YOLO mode.
Where to find her#
You reach Vera from every screen of Verasol.
- 1 Talk to Vera at the top of the main menu: a voice call with Vera in the browser, or Vera calls your phone. See Talk to Vera.
- 2 AI Assistant in the main menu: the full chat, with your earlier conversations.
- 3 Awaiting your approval in the main menu, and 4 the check-mark icon in the top bar, with the number of proposals you can approve: what Vera proposed, such as a cheque deposit or a bank match. See Awaiting your approval. Her drafts wait on their own screens (see below).
When Vera opens a screen for you, or shows you how something is done, the chat moves into a panel beside the page. The panel stays with you while you move from screen to screen, so you can keep asking. See Chat with Vera.
To use Vera, your role needs the AI Assistant permission. The owner sets this in Team & permissions.
Type or talk#
- Type your question in the message box of the AI Assistant page. You can attach a PDF, a photo of a receipt or a spreadsheet for her to read.
- Speak your question with the microphone button (Voice input). Vera turns what you say into text.
- Have a conversation: Talk to Vera starts a call in the browser. During the call she can open screens for you. You can also let her call your phone, or call her from a phone number you registered.
It is the same Vera everywhere. What you told her to remember in a chat, she also knows on a call.
English and Arabic#
Write to Vera in Arabic and she answers in Arabic. Write in English and she answers in English. Calls work in both languages. Customer, supplier and item names and document numbers stay as they are recorded in Verasol.
Verasol's own screens are in English or Arabic: choose the language with the flag in the top bar.
She prepares, you approve#
Vera saves her work as a draft or a proposal, tells you what she prepared, and tells you where to approve it. Nothing is booked until then.
| What Vera prepares | Where a person approves it |
|---|---|
| A sales invoice | On the invoice: Mark as Sent |
| A credit note | On the credit note: Issue credit note |
| A supplier bill or debit note | On the bill: Approve Bill |
| A journal entry | In Journal Entries, on the draft's row: Post Entry |
| A receipt or a payment | On the payment: Post Payment |
| Depositing or clearing a cheque, bank matches, a bank charge, a transfer between your own accounts, a stock adjustment, leave, an expense claim, a staff loan, a fixed asset, a VAT payment | In Awaiting your approval |
Some things always stay with a person, whatever you ask and also in YOLO mode: filing VAT and corporate tax returns, processing payroll, closing or reopening a period, deleting or voiding documents, and changing bank details, salaries or the chart of accounts. Vera can prepare the figures and tell you the steps.
She works in the company that is open#
Vera only sees and works in the company that is open at the top of the screen. When you switch to another company, she works in that one. If you work in an accountancy firm, you can also ask her about all your clients at once, and she can open a client for you. See The firm portal.
She also works with your permissions: she sees and does only what your role in the company allows. A screen you may not open, she cannot open for you either.
