Sign in and create your account
Sign in to Verasol with your e-mail and password, Google, Microsoft, LinkedIn or your firm's single sign-on, choose a new password when you forgot it, accept an invitation, or create your own login.
You sign in to Verasol at app.verasol.ai. Most people start with an invitation: your company's owner or your accountancy firm invites you, and you set your password from the link in the e-mail. Your account is personal: one login gives you every company you have been given access to, with the role you have in each.
Open app.verasol.ai. The sign-in page, Welcome back, asks for your e-mail address and password.
- Enter your Email Address 2 and your Password. The eye icon in the field shows the password while you type.
- Tick Remember me on a computer that only you use, to stay signed in for longer.
- Click Login 4.
1 is the language menu and 3 Forgot Password? helps when you no longer know your password (see Forgot your password). 5 and 6 are other ways to sign in, described below.
Verasol opens your dashboard. If you work for an accountancy firm, it opens the firm's pages instead: the firm overview for the people who run the firm, or your firm home when you work on two or more client companies. The first time you sign in, Verasol first shows a short welcome (see Welcome to Verasol).
If the e-mail or the password is wrong, Verasol says "The provided credentials are incorrect." After five failed attempts in a minute, it asks you to wait before you try again.
Sign in with Google, Microsoft or LinkedIn#
Under the sign-in form, Verasol shows Sign in with Google, and also Sign in with Microsoft and Sign in with LinkedIn when they are switched on. Click one and sign in there. Verasol uses the e-mail address of that account:
- If you already have a Verasol account with the same e-mail address, you are signed in to it. If you use two-factor sign-in, Verasol still asks for your code.
- If you do not, Verasol creates a new account for you.
Verasol only accepts an e-mail address that the provider confirms as verified, so nobody can use an account with your address on it to get into your Verasol account. With Microsoft, that is the address of a personal Microsoft account (such as Outlook.com or Hotmail), or a work address on a domain that the organisation has verified with Microsoft.
When the sign-in does not work, you are back on the sign-in page with the reason in red, for example:
- "You cancelled the sign-in with Microsoft. Nothing was changed."
- "LinkedIn did not confirm a verified e-mail address for this account, so Verasol cannot sign you in with it." Sign in with your e-mail and password instead.
- "This account is inactive. Ask your account owner to reactivate it."
- "The sign-in with Google did not complete." Try again, or sign in with your e-mail and password.
Signing in with your firm's single sign-on (below) is a separate route.
Sign in with your firm's single sign-on#
Some accountancy firms let their staff sign in with their work account (Google or Microsoft). Type your work e-mail first: when your firm uses single sign-on, a button with your firm's sign-in appears under the e-mail field. Click it and sign in with your work account. You can also enter your e-mail and click Sign in with your firm account (single sign-on) under the other buttons.
When your firm requires single sign-on, signing in with a password is not enough: Verasol shows "Your firm requires you to sign in with your organisation account." with the button to use instead. Your firm's security settings are described in Firm security.
Two-factor sign-in#
If you switched on two-factor sign-in in your profile, Verasol asks for a second step after your password.
- Open your authenticator app and enter the 6-digit code it shows.
- Click Verify.
Lost your phone? Click Use a recovery code instead and enter one of the recovery codes you saved when you switched two-factor sign-in on. Each recovery code works once.
Your accountancy firm's portal#
If an accountancy firm keeps your company's books in Verasol, it may have its own client portal: Verasol at the firm's own address, in the firm's name and colours. Then you sign in there, not on the general Verasol sign-in page. If you try the general page, Verasol tells you that your account signs in on your firm's sign-in page and takes you there. Your e-mails from Verasol, such as invitations and password resets, link to the portal too. See Your own client portal.
Choose English or Arabic#
On the sign-in page, use the language menu at the top to choose English or Arabic. Inside Verasol, click the flag in the top bar and choose 1 English or 2 العربية (Arabic). In Arabic, the whole app reads from right to left.
Your choice is kept on the device and saved with your account, so a new device opens in the language you chose last.
Accept an invitation#
When someone invites you to their company in Verasol, you receive an e-mail with a link. It is written in your own language if you already have a Verasol account, otherwise in the language of the person who invited you. It names the company or companies (one invitation can give you access to several companies of the same owner), your role and what you will be able to do, and the date until which the link is valid.
- Open the link in the e-mail. The Accept Invitation page opens.
- Enter your First Name and Last Name.
- Choose a Password of at least 8 characters and type it again under Confirm Password.
- Click Join Account.
You are signed in. If this is your first time in Verasol, the welcome starts. If the link is old or has been used already, Verasol says "This invitation is invalid or has expired." Ask the person who invited you to send it again.
If you already have a Verasol account with that e-mail address, enter that account's own password under Password and Confirm Password: you join the companies, your password stays as it was, and you then sign in as usual (with two-factor sign-in, if you use it). If you no longer know that password, use Forgot Password? on the sign-in page first.
Create your own login#
If nobody has invited you, you can create a login yourself and then set up your own company.
- On the sign-in page, click Register.
- Enter your First Name, Last Name and Email Address.
- Choose a Password of at least 8 characters and type it again under Confirm Password. The bar under the password shows how strong it is.
- Click Register. You can also use Sign up with Google, or Sign up with Microsoft and Sign up with LinkedIn when they are shown: the same rules apply as for signing in with them.
Verasol signs you in and starts the welcome. At the end of it you create your first company: see Set up your company.
If you want Verasol for your firm or company, Verasol is licensed by agreement. Write to [email protected] for a short demo and a proposal, or fill in the request form at app.verasol.ai/request-access: your name, e-mail address, company and, if you like, a phone number and a few words about your business. The Verasol team receives it and contacts you by e-mail.
Forgot your password#
- On the sign-in page, click Forgot Password?. The Forgot your password? page opens.
- Enter the Email Address of your Verasol account 1 and click Send the link 2.
- Open the e-mail from Verasol, in English or Arabic, and click its link. The link works for 60 minutes and only once.
- On the Choose a new password page, enter a New password of at least 8 characters and type it again under Repeat the new password.
- Click Save the new password, then Sign in with your new password.
Verasol gives the same answer whether or not an account uses the address, so the page cannot be used to find out who has an account. No e-mail after a few minutes? Look in your spam folder, or click Send it again a minute later. 3 Back to sign in returns to the sign-in page.
While you are signed in, you can also change your password in your profile. If you signed up with Google, Microsoft or LinkedIn, you have no Verasol password of your own yet: use this page, or E-mail me a link in your profile, to choose one. You need it, for example, to switch on two-factor sign-in.
Sign out#
Click your profile button at the right end of the top bar, after the bell, and choose 2 Logout. The same menu has 1 My Profile, where you change your password and your sign-in security. You can also click the person icon next to Main Menu, at the top of the main menu, and click Logout there.
A firm can also end sessions under its security rules; Verasol then asks you to sign in again.
