Tax Optimizer

Let the AI Tax Optimizer read the last 12 months of your books against UAE tax law and suggest legitimate VAT and corporate tax savings, each with its legal basis.

For Verasol 2.12·4 min read

The AI Tax Optimizer reads the last 12 months of your books and the UAE tax legislation, and looks for legitimate ways to reduce your VAT and corporate tax, as well as risks in your tax position. It only suggests: it changes nothing in your books, and every suggestion comes with its legal basis for you and your tax adviser to check.

Open the Tax Optimizer#

Open Tax Optimizer in the main menu.

The AI Tax Optimizer before an analysis
  • 1 Start Analysis and 2 Start Deep Analysis both start the analysis.
  • 3 How it works: explains what the analysis reads, and reminds you to consult a qualified tax adviser before you act on a strategy.

You can also open it from the VAT return: in VAT › VAT 201 Return, click the yellow 1 Tax Optimizer button at the top right.

The VAT 201 Return with the Tax Optimizer button

To use it, your role needs the Tax: VAT and corporate tax (view) permission.

Run an analysis#

  1. Click Start Analysis.
  2. Wait while the analysis runs. The page shows its steps: Searching Tax Legislation, Deep AI Analysis and Generating Recommendations. It usually takes less than a minute.
  3. Read the findings under Tax Optimization Results.

What the analysis reads#

  • Your books for the last 12 months: the sales invoices you issued and the supplier bills you booked (drafts and cancelled documents do not count), your exports, and the movements and balances of your accounts. Balances are included only if your role may see them, through the banking or reports permissions.
  • Your VAT returns of the 12 months: their status, due date and net VAT. When your role may see balances, also what was paid to the FTA or refunded on each filed return, and any older return that still owes or is owed VAT.
  • UAE tax legislation: the VAT law, the corporate tax law and FTA guidance, including official changes of the last six months, so that no suggestion relies on a rule that has been replaced.

What the results show#

  • a short summary of your company's tax position;
  • up to six strategies, the most valuable first, each with what you would pay without it and with it, the saving, the legal basis (the law and article), a risk level and the steps to put it in place;
  • what to check with your tax adviser before you act;
  • when savings could be estimated, a chart, Tax Optimization Scenario Comparison, with the Total Potential Savings (or the simpler chart Potential Tax Savings).

The results are written in the language of the screen: switch Verasol to Arabic for an analysis in Arabic. The analysis cites as legal basis only laws that are in Verasol's verified law. Where it would rely on another text, it says "(legal basis to be confirmed: not in Verasol's verified law)" instead, for you to check.

Click New Analysis to start again. The results are not saved: when you leave the page, run the analysis again to see them.

If the analysis reaches its maximum length, a note above it says that its last part may be cut short. If no analysis comes back, the page shows No analysis this time with the reason: click Try again, or try again in a few minutes.

The monthly AI limit#

Each analysis is an AI request, like a question to Vera. It counts towards your company's monthly AI limit and shows in Settings › AI usage, under the person who ran it (see AI usage and activity). When the company or its accountancy firm has reached the limit and the assistant is paused, no analysis runs: the page shows No analysis this time with the limit message, for example "This company has reached its monthly AI limit (AED 500.00 of AED 500.00). The assistant is paused until the limit is raised or the new month starts."
