Transfer pricing documentation
Keep your transfer pricing documents per financial year and use the related-party and transfer pricing reports to see what to disclose and which transactions still need support.
Transfer pricing documentation is the evidence that your prices with related parties are at arm's length: the local file and master file, intercompany agreements, benchmarking and other studies. In Verasol you keep these documents per financial year on the Transfer Pricing screen, and two reports put them next to the transactions of the year: what to disclose with the corporate tax return, and which transactions still have no support.
Nothing here posts to your books or files anything with the FTA.
Your transfer pricing documents#
Open International › Transfer Pricing.
- 1 New Document adds a document. 2 Transfer pricing report opens the Transfer pricing report (see below), for the year you filter on.
- UAE Transfer Pricing Requirements sums up the law: a master file and a local file are kept for a tax period when the company's revenue in that period is AED 200 million or more, or when it belongs to a multinational group with consolidated revenue of AED 3.15 billion or more (Ministerial Decision No. 97 of 2023, Article 2), and the Federal Tax Authority may ask for a disclosure of the transactions with related parties and connected persons with the corporate tax return (Federal Decree-Law No. 47 of 2022, Article 55).
- The cards count the documents of the year and type you filter on: Total Documents (with the number of related parties they cover), Final, Draft, and Validity ends within 90 days: the final documents whose Valid until date falls in the next 90 days, with those whose validity has already ended.
- Transfer Pricing Methods explains the five methods you can give each transaction: comparable uncontrolled price, resale price, cost plus, transactional net margin and profit split.
- Transfer Pricing Documents lists the documents, with 3 filters for the year (All Years), the type (All Types) and the status (All Statuses). Each line shows the Document (with the name of its file, or No file attached), its Type, Financial Year, Related Party, Status, Valid until and Last Updated. 4 Final marks a finished document, 5 Draft one in progress.
- The eye shows the document, with who made it final and when. When a file is attached, the download arrow downloads it under the name it was uploaded with. On a draft, the pencil edits it, 6 the tick (Mark as final) makes it final, and the bin deletes it. On a final document, Archive retires it. Each of these asks you to confirm first.

The related-party and transfer pricing reports#
Open International › Reports. Choose the Financial year at the top: the year ending in the calendar year you pick, with the same dates as your corporate tax return. Print prints the open report and Excel downloads it as a CSV file that opens in Excel.
The page has three tabs.
Related-party disclosure#
What to disclose about your related parties with the corporate tax return of the year.
- 1 The financial year, and 2 the tab.
- Four tiles: the number of Related parties, the year's Income and Expenses with them, and the Arm's-length adjustments.
- 3 A line compares these adjustments with the corporate tax return of the year: Agrees with the adjustments above, or Differs from the adjustments above: recalculate the return. Without a return yet, it says so.
- Then one card per related party: the relationship and its role (as customer or as supplier), the transfer pricing methods used, the transactions by type with their number and amount, and what is still open in both directions (Owed to us (open), Owed by us (open)).
4 Excel downloads the report, one line per related party and kind of transaction.
A transaction booked in one year and cancelled in a later year counts in the year it was booked and is taken back in the year it was cancelled; the card says so.
Group summary#
One line per active group company: the number of transactions of the year with its related parties, the Income, the Expenses, the Net and the open balances as they stand today (Owed to us (open), Owed by us (open)), with the totals.
Transfer pricing#
- Three tiles for the Master file, the Local file and the Country-by-country report of the year: the status of the document, or 1 Not prepared when there is none (Not applicable for the country-by-country report).
- 2 Transactions without transfer-pricing support: the transactions that need support (see which ones) with neither a final document for their related party this year nor a pricing justification. When there are none, the report says Every transaction that needs support has it.
- 3 Documents and methods per related party: each party's documents of the year and its transactions by method.
- All transactions by method: the year's transactions grouped by transfer pricing method.
