YOLO mode

With YOLO mode on, Vera approves and posts what she prepares herself, without a person checking first. Only the owner can turn it on, and some things always stay with a person.

For Verasol 2.12·4 min read

Normally Vera prepares and a person approves: her invoices, bills and journal entries wait as drafts, and her proposals wait in Awaiting your approval. YOLO mode changes that for one company. With YOLO mode on, Vera approves and posts what she prepares herself, as soon as she has prepared it, without anyone checking first.

It saves time, and it removes the check. Only the owner of the company can turn it on, and only after reading what it means and accepting the responsibility.

What Vera then finishes herself#

With YOLO mode on, Vera no longer stops at drafts and proposals. In the chat and on calls, she:

  • approves supplier bills and debit notes;
  • issues sales invoices and credit notes;
  • posts journal entries, receipts and payments;
  • approves purchase orders, confirms sales orders, and finishes goods receipts and delivery notes;
  • approves her own proposals in Awaiting your approval: cheque steps, bank matches, bank lines, transfers between your accounts and the other proposals listed there.

She still works with the permissions of the person she is talking to, and Verasol's own checks still apply: a closed period stays closed, and every entry must balance. The VAT return, the payroll and the month's depreciation she prepares still wait for a person.

What always stays with a person#

Also in YOLO mode, Vera never:

  • files VAT or corporate tax returns;
  • processes payroll;
  • closes or reopens a period;
  • deletes or voids documents;
  • changes bank details, salaries or the chart of accounts.

She can still prepare the figures for these, and tell you the steps.

Who can turn it on#

Only the owner of the company can turn YOLO mode on or off. Everyone whose role includes the AI Assistant permission can see whether it is on:

  • on the YOLO mode card in Settings › Vera's instructions, which says who turned it on and when;
  • on the red YOLO badge in the top bar, which shows on every screen while YOLO mode is on.

Other people see the card without the button, with the line "Only the owner of the company can turn YOLO mode on."

Turn it on#

  1. Open Settings › Vera's instructions.
  2. On the YOLO mode card, click Turn on YOLO mode….

The consent window: the responsibility, the confirmation and the button

1 The box where you accept the responsibility, 2 Type YOLO to confirm, 3 Turn on YOLO mode. Until both are done, the button stays greyed out.

By turning it on, the owner accepts full responsibility for everything Vera approves, posts or issues while YOLO mode is on, and for checking the books.

Turn it off#

On the YOLO mode card, the owner clicks Turn off YOLO mode. From then on, Vera prepares drafts and proposals again, and a person approves them.

What is recorded#

Turning YOLO mode on or off is recorded under the name of the person who did it, with the date. Every approval Vera makes in YOLO mode is recorded in the YOLO mode log, under the name of the person she was working for: the person who asked her in the chat or on the call. Every record Vera creates or changes also shows in Settings › What Vera did. See AI usage and activity.
