Your profile belongs to you, not to a company: the same name, password and sign-in security apply in every company you work in. Open it from the profile button at the right end of the top bar, after the bell: My Profile. You can also click the person icon next to Main Menu and then Profile.

My Profile: your details and the four tabs

The tabs on the left are 1 Personal Info, 2 Security, 3 E-mails and 4 Danger Zone. Under them, Member Since shows when your account was made.

To add or change your photo, click the camera on your picture (Change photo) and choose an image of up to 2 MB. Your photo shows in the top bar and the main menu; without one, Verasol shows your initials.

Personal Info#

Change your First Name, Last Name, Email Address or Phone Number and click Save Changes 5. Cancel puts back what was saved.

How Vera addresses you and your job title are set in Settings › Vera's instructions: see Teach Vera. The language is chosen with the flag in the top bar: see Choose English or Arabic.

Change your password#

Open the Security tab. Under Change Password:

  1. Enter your Current Password.
  2. Enter a New Password of at least 8 characters, and again under Confirm Password.
  3. Click Update Password 1.
Security: change your password, e-mail yourself a link, and switch on two-factor sign-in

No password yet, or you no longer know your current one? Under No password yet, or forgot it?, click E-mail me a link 2. Verasol e-mails your address a link to choose a new password; it works for 60 minutes. If you signed up with Google, Microsoft or LinkedIn, this is how you set a Verasol password of your own, which you need to switch on two-factor sign-in. Choosing a new password through the link signs you out on every device.

Switch on two-factor sign-in#

With two-factor sign-in, Verasol asks for a 6-digit code from an authenticator app on your phone after your password. Someone who learns your password still cannot sign in.

  1. On the Security tab, under Two-factor sign-in, type your password in Your password (to confirm it's you) 3.
  2. Click Set up two-factor sign-in 4.
  3. Open your authenticator app and add an account: scan the QR code, or type the key shown under it.
  4. Enter the 6-digit code the app shows and click Turn on.
  5. Verasol shows your 8 Recovery codes. Each lets you sign in once if you lose your phone, and they are shown only now: Copy or Download them, keep them somewhere safe, and click I have saved them.

From now on, Verasol asks for a code each time you sign in. The tab shows since when two-factor sign-in is on.

  • New recovery codes makes new codes; the old ones stop working. It asks for your password.
  • Turn off switches two-factor sign-in off, after your password and a confirmation.

See where you're signed in#

Further down the Security tab, Where you're signed in lists the browsers and apps signed in to your account, with their IP address and when they were last active. The one you are using is marked 2 This device.

The devices signed in to your account, and Sign out all other devices
  • Click Sign out next to a device you don't recognise.
  • Click 1 Sign out all other devices to sign out everywhere except here, for example after you changed your password.

Recent sign-ins lists your last 20 sign-in attempts, with the result (for example Signed in or Wrong password), the device and the IP address.

E-mails#

On the E-mails tab, the switch 1 UAE tax news e-mail decides whether Verasol e-mails you when new tax rules, deadlines or official guidance apply to your companies. It is sent once a week, only when there is news. It is on unless you switch it off; the link at the bottom of the e-mail switches it off too. The same news always stays under Notifications in Verasol.

Close your account#

Verasol closes accounts on request, so nothing your companies need is lost. The Danger Zone tab has the request form, Close your account.

  1. Open the Danger Zone tab.
  2. If you like, say why under Anything we should know? (optional) 1.
  3. Click Send the request 2 and confirm.
Close your account: the request to Verasol support

Verasol support receives the request and contacts you by e-mail. Companies you own are first handed over to a new owner or closed properly. Booked documents and their audit trail stay with each company, because the law requires them to be kept. Support confirms with you before anything is removed. If you sent a request already, Verasol tells you it is with support.
