Firm settings and offices
Set up the offices of your firm, choose the head office, and find the firm's roles and security settings.
Firm settings is where a firm admin sets up the firm's structure: its offices, and the roles described in Accountants, roles and invitations. Security has its own page, Firm security.
An office is where part of your firm works, for example Dubai, Abu Dhabi or Manama. Each client and each staff member can belong to one office. The office decides what partners reach: a partner manages the clients and staff of their own office. Staff can also see the offices on this page; only a firm admin can change them.
Your offices#
Open Firm › Firm settings. The Offices page shows one card per office, with its code, country, emirate or region and time zone, and how many clients and staff belong to it.
- 1 Add office adds an office.
- 2 Head office marks the firm's main office.
- 3 Change edits an office.
- 4 Delete removes an office that has no clients and no staff left.
Add or change an office#
- Click Add office, or Change on an office's card.
- Enter the Name, a short Code (shown on lists across the firm, for example DXB) and the Name in Arabic.
- Choose the Country, and enter the Emirate / region and the Address.
- Choose the office's Time zone.
- Tick Head office for the firm's main office. Only one office is the head office: ticking it here takes it off the other one.
- Click Save.
1 Code, 2 Name in Arabic, 3 Time zone, 4 Head office, 5 Save.
Two offices cannot have the same code. When you change an existing office, you can also clear Active.
Close an office#
An office that still has clients or staff cannot be deleted or made inactive. First move them:
- Move each client with Edit on the Companies list (its Office).
- Move each staff member with Change role or office on their page.
Then Delete the office. The head office cannot be deleted: make another office the head office first. Each change to an office is recorded in the audit trail.
